Netanyahu's office has confirmed that the Israeli war cabinet has unanimously decided to continue military operations in Rafah:
"The War Cabinet unanimously decided that Israel will continue the operation in Rafah to exert military pressure on Hamas in order to promote the release of our hostages and the other goals of the war"
Hamas states it has accepted terms for a ceasefire deal. Israel hqs yet to confirm its position.
Despite the gap between the parties on their requirements for a ceasefire deal, Israel will send a delegation to continue hostage negotiations.
Meanwhile, IDF forces are allegedly conducting targeted strikes against Hamas positions in eastern Rafah, with further updates on the operation expected soon.
