The study indicates a correlation between daily fruit juice consumption and weight gain in both children and adults.

According to a recent study of 42 studies, children and adults who regularly consume 100% fruit juice may see a slight increase in body weight.

The concentrated fruit content in the study draws attention to the possibility of overconsumption, which can lead to increased calorie intake and higher blood glucose levels.

Juice consumption should be restricted for older children and discouraged for newborns under one, according to the American Academy of Paediatrics.

Parents should limit their child's juice intake to half a cup per day and talk to their doctor about it, suggests Dr. Tamara Hannon.
